City Market

Well, today was the first day back to the City Market really. We have been shopping basically at Aldi's and Big Lots lately. Haven't gotten real food for awhile. We have gotten some food at HyVee but nothing really more than their specials. However, today we knew that the produce sections were starting to open back up as May is just around the corner.


It was CHAOS with the kids. They were bummed they didn't get to buy suckers but I did let them get a container of strawberrys that they polished off by the time we got to the next store after leaving City Market. Spent $18 and got all of our produce. It will be nice to cook some real meals again. I need to make some bread this week as my wonderful sil gave us some freshly ground wheat. I don't think I can thank her enough for that. We had been buying bread at the Orowheat store for $1.25/loaf and it is good bread, but my family LOVES homemade bread, so that will be a nice treat for them.

I am still waiting to hear from my co-worker to find out if my schedule that I put in the calendar section is going to be set or not, but it should be. The other thing we don't know is whether or not the construction will end on May 5th. Everyone but my boss doesn't think it will. lol.

We also finally found a dog food that totally agrees with Johnny's intestines and his taste buds so now we have to see if it agrees with our wallet. If not, the second best, does AND it is delivered to our door for free. So, we are in a win/win situation with that. lol.

Peanut's school is in the final leg. She has 3 weeks left. Then we get to save 3/4 tank of gas a week. Can you see I am a little ecstatic about that? lol
