Well, Jer & I decided to skip town for the day to take a break from work and stress and spend some time in Manhattan. Also, we had some orders to deliver. We went and saw Mema first because they were going to band day at KSU and because my mother had a HUGE to do list for the AM. It was a win/win situation. The kids had a blast at Mema's and she read to them, which they love. They got to see Angel and Duncan for a short period of time. Angel is really growing up. I can't believe I have known her for 8 years! She has grown and changed so much.
After Mema's we had about an hour and a half before we could go see my parents so we went to City Park. We had been informed they were revamping the park but we had NO idea. It has become our FAVORITE park next to Antioch Park in Overland Park, KS. I think that next summer when I make my annual trip down, we will devote an afternoon there. Do a picnic lunch and hang out. Maybe, if City Pool is open, we can make a day of the area. That would be so fun.
Anyway, we went to my parents and shot the breeze for a while. The kids played outside with the tricycle and playing with some old games that I haven't seen in ages. Ants in the Pants and then this old play video reel that I can't remember the name of. It was made in 1976 though. That I do remember. J came by shortly before we planned on going inside so the kids played with her for about an hour. Peanut bawled when it was time for good-byes. It is so nice for Peanut to have a good friend near my parents' house. It really works out.
We came back, picked Johnny up from PetSmart's Day Camp (where he played for 7 hours!) and then came back home. I had a chance to nap for a few minutes and then it was time to go back to work. I did get a note though from the boss and it sounds like next week MAY be my last week with an overnight in it! Whoo hoo.
Okay, I am off to type up Christmas wish lists for my family. Anyone wanting one, email me!
