I love baby showers

So tomorrow is my asst. manager's last day. She is officially going on maternity leave on Feb. 9th but is taking a week of vacation since she is so close to her due date. Today was her baby shower thrown by us co-workers. It was 7 hours long so that all employees had an opportunity to go. I was there for a couple hours and then headed home to do my other household chores. It was great to see my old boss again along with several pet parents. We didn't play any normal baby shower games but the Wii was brought out for some boxing matches. We had snacks and I made my veggie bars. I can't believe that tomorrow is her last day. I will miss her a lot and now our new management truly takes over. It has been a really rough and rocky couple of weeks and next week will be sticky as well. We need to get more business back into the hotel because we are so slow. I do enjoy the fact our day camps are really full because it means I get to play with the dogs. I just wish we had a lot of dogs boarding because they make the evenings a little more exciting. When you close almost every night, only having a few dogs makes the night really long. I really feel for the overnighters because they are there caring for the animals but when there aren't that many, it is very hard to stay awake and energetic. Hopefully we can get out in the store and really do some promoting so we can get more clients.
