Fluff Planet!

Many have known for awhile that I am more into natural parenting than mainstream parenting. Some people call it attachment parenting, being granola or crunchy, but I just call it being in tune with what my kids needs are. So I have been starting to get more and more excited about different areas. Some people get excited about new designs on disposable diapers ... well *I* get excited when I find cloth diapers that are WELL made and fit great. Oh, and a great cause to back them up!

So, let me tell you about my find. I love my find so much that after my tester diaper I purchased, I am purchasing another 7 diapers before the end of November. Best part about these diapers ... they are a one size so they will fit her until she no longer needs to be in diapers! YAY!

The company is called Fluff Planet. They don't only do diapers, they do everything cloth you can think of, but today I'm gonna talk about their diapers & wipes. First to talk about the company and why you should look into them. I met Kimberly in a birth board that moved to Facebook. We developed a solid friendship and when I found out she was going to be making diapers, I was interested. I have several patterns myself but not a whole lot of time so I prefer to make some and buy some. :) I bought a tester diaper from her and then started to look into her Work-At-Home business. She runs the business with a friend named Jessa. Here is a little of our interview and then my review on the diapers!

Me: Why did you two start Fluff Planet?

J&K: We kept hearing stories of moms who would be slow to change diapers or would reuse disposables because they didn't have enough money to buy more diapers. When we heard of a story of a child that was frozen to the floor of a house due to no heat and a wet diaper, we knew we had to do something. Unfortunately, making cloth diapers is not cheap and we couldn't do it without help.

Me: So how does you selling diapers help others in need?

J&K: For every item sold on Fluff Planet, a similar item will be donated. So if someone buys a diaper, we will donate a diaper or if you buy cloth wipes, we will donate cloth wipes.

Me: How do you hope to draw business with your costs being higher?

J&K: We run specials and will work with mothers who place large orders.

Me: Other than diapers, what are some products you guys make?

J&K: Wetbags, cloth wipes, nursing pads, burp towels, bibs, and snack bags just to name a few. We also repair old diaper's elastic and will change velcro to snaps.

Me: Thank you both so much for your time and all you do to help those with financial needs!

Now for my review of the diaper:

The diaper I purchased was a pink owl tester diaper. The material diaper itself is very well constructed. It has elastic on the legs and then also at the top pocket both on the inside fabric and outside. The PUL is hidden so they can use almost any fabric. The location and tightness of the elastic keeps it tight up against Chloe as she crawls and rolls. They do two layers of snaps so we have no wing drooping after awhile of wearing. Because it is one size they use cute snaps to adjust the length. They have all sorts of different colors of snaps for the diapers. We have washed the diaper several times and have had no problems with the PUL delaminating. They sent a care sheet with the diaper letting us know that the initial wash MUST be done before wearing because it needs to be washed on HOT and dried on HOT to seal the PUL. Now, our care for the diaper is the same as the rest of our cloth. We rinse in cold, then wash on hot, warm rinse, line dry. :)

Review of purchase process:

This has got to be my FAVORITE part of the company. You can purchase online. My next order will be partially done online but more with the ladies because I am placing a large order and true to their word, they are working with me for a deal. You can bet this means I will be going back. So, with my purchase I just did ... I ordered a custom OS Pocket diaper. My diaper is going to be a CUTE KSU diaper that Kim found a great print on. Can not WAIT for it to come in. Anyway, back to the process of purchase. I used their menu to get to the section of diapers I was interested in purchasing. They have several types of inserts that are an additional charge and as soon as my inserts get here, future inserts will not be needed. :) It can make things cheaper to purchase inserts separately in a co-op unless you are using just cotton or microfiber, so just keep your eyes out. :D Then the snap preference. I LOVE that they give you the option of choosing snap colors, although I LOVE using the surprise me method. Then you check out. SO EASY PEASY! They give you an email confirming your purchase as well.

Now for pictures!
