Holy Smokes!

Time is flying TOO fast. As much as I want it to be the holidays so I can see people's faces with the gifts I have slaved on for awhile on (either making or thinking about) ... I am NOT quite ready for it. We are dealing with colic again with Monkey so sleep is becoming a rarity as we start to figure out what food is causing it. We are doing massages with essential oils, baths with essential oils, blessings, and a LOT of rocking. We are suspending our home school lessons until after Christmas. The kids are quite happy to have some time to just play for a bit. This week we have lots of meetings and errands to run and then next week will be cleaning and baking. The excitement in the air is certainly NOT helping Monkey. lol

Peanut is spending more and more time getting into reading and jewelry making. Bullfrog is spending a lot of time reading and getting into card games (Pokemon, Bakugon, Yu-Gi-Oh and hopefully Magic). Both are starting to become predictable in school and I am learning which strategies work best with each of them. Peanut is heavily into manipulative and visual (videos, experiments, etc) ... while Bullfrog is heavy into the reading and doing. Peanut only enjoys the drill sheets once she no longer really needs to be drilled on a subject. lol. We have done a lot of checking out videos from the library to help with a concept and it seems to be helping immensely.

Jeremy had his interview (finally) for the new position at work. He should know tomorrow whether he gets his first pick or not. For us, the changes and new structure at work is a win/win. His first pick, however, is salaried which is a very nice thought. Actually having a steady paycheck, regardless of the time of the year, is so novel to us. However, since they are changing how they will pay people, even a new route won't be a bad thing. Either way, we are eager for the changes and Jeremy certainly likes the person they have hired to run the vending division of the company. It has been a humbling year but we have learned a lot and the kids really are enjoying learning how to make more food instead of shopping for convenience! In that regard, I am thankful for the trials that have been put before us.

Finally, I am working on doing different testing products for work-at-home businesses as well as companies that are larger. I would prefer to have more followers though ... SO if you read this blog on Facebook or receive it in your email (new), PLEASE click on the "Follow" button the side of my blog to add to my list. It really will help with the amount of items I can test and review ... who knows, maybe my blog will be added to the many that do giveaways. You never know!
