Happy Hump Day! Several huge accomplishments occurred today.
First - Looking Up
We have made it through the shortest day of the year. Everything starts to brighten from here. Means only a few more weeks until I can cut back on my Vitamin D regimen! That makes me very happy.
Second - Bell Ringing
Okay, so this isn't really an accomplishment, but it is something that our family really enjoys doing. The Salvation Army is always looking for volunteers to ring bells for their Red Bucket drive over the holidays and our 4-H club signs up for several days every year. Today was the only day that worked for us so we signed up for a 2 hour shift. I could NOT have asked for better weather. We sang carols, rang bells, and had a great time without worrying about needing to bundle up. Even Monkey enjoyed ringing the bells!
Finally - Christmas Crafting
I have to say that I have been VERY frantic in trying to finish my sewing for Christmas this year. I started WAY in advance and then put off a lot of it as I took on other tasks .... and NOW that it NEEDS to be done, I can't keep Monkey asleep or the kids in their room for me to craft. GAH! SHAME on me. Anyway, I have 1 more bean bag and 3 more cloth blocks to go for the kids. That's right, Bullfrog's bean bag chair is DONE! I made them out of shirts that they outgrew but I didn't want to part with because there were meanings or stories behind them. I installed a zipper ... without a zipper foot because I am a procrastinator and never got around to calling people. Or maybe it is because I am stubborn and hate asking for help. EITHER way, It actually doesn't look TOO bad and it IS in working order. Isn't that all that matters anyway? I say yes. I can not WAIT to reveal these to the children.
