I would consider today a success. I have gotten a lot written and am now editing a lot. I have things I have worked out and a lot more getting ready on the horizon.
~ I am officially a member of the Social Moms network. You can see the link to the side of the blog. I hope to be writing posts for them and networking with other social moms. I have been collecting points for awhile now, but had not dived into the blog portion. I am excited for the new adventure.
~ In just over a week, I will be hosting a Thirty-One party for another friend of mine who has become a consultant. I won't lie, there is a product I have been eyeballing for awhile and I hope to score it at this party. With that said, I LOVE Thirty-One and LOVE to tell others about the products. I use a large tote to store all my cloth diapers. I have several thermals that I love to take with me when we go to the Royals games. Now I see they are doing a $5 deal where if you spend $31, you get a few different items for only $5. One of those items ... the thermal. SO, parents of children in school ... you can get your child a backpack and then get a thermal bag for only $5!! Even better, you can get it personalized for only another $5! Yeah, I love Thirty-One and I'm not ashamed to admit it. You are more than welcome to order from my party online or even COME to the party. Summer Thirty-One Party - I hope this works. Please let me know if that link does not. We even have a special for everyone who orders at the party. *big grins*
~ Another success was a new dinner. My friend posted a picture on Facebook a few days back and then finally the recipe link. It is a copy cat recipe for PF Chang's Lettuce Wraps. SO yummy. My kids all agreed. They gobbled it all up and there was nothing left over! You can find the recipe here: PF Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The only alteration we did was to leave out the hot mustard and chili pastes. That is due to stomach issues in two family members. I am sure it would be divine with it in as well. =)
~ Finally, my house currently smells like Applesauce bread. That is because Peanut is baking yet again. This time though, it is in exchange for some polyfil for a bed she is making for her dog. I absolutely believe in the barter system and since Peanut was the one who wanted the stuffing ... she is the one baking. Smells FABULOUS. She is debating on if she wants to take a loaf to the fair or not. I think maybe my waistline will be thankful when the fair is over. *laugh*
I hope everyone else has a wonderful Friday the 13th. We are going to make the most of it and run errands, go to a park day, and pick up free goodies the kids have earned from the Louisburg Library Summer Reading program. =)
yay for you, my friend! :)
