Theater in the Park

So what do you do when it is hot and you are stressed to the max? You take an evening away. My wonderful husband was so awesome and chose to stay home with the older children due to issues, and I snuck away with Monkey!

We went to Theater in the Park where we saw Jungle Book and Sleeping Beauty. It was very warm but once the sun started to set ... it was such a beautiful evening. Monkey loved Jungle Book for all the animal characters (although there were times she was more memorized by the ladies signing) and then she was excited by Mickey Mouse and Sleeping Beauty. This is quickly becoming an annual tradition for us, and Theater in the Park sure does not disappoint! Between the wonderful layout, the space, the shows chosen, the quality of the actors & actresses, this production is worth the money to go. Here are just a few snapshots of my evening with the baby girl!
Someone didn't get a nap all day, so she rested up before the show began!

Monkey LOVES grapes. She didn't really eat much else due to the heat.

The show started. I think her toes say it all. She was stuck in this position for awhile.

Our view of the stage. I LOVE the way Theater in the Park is set up.

Monkey bobbing so she could still see the show while sitting near the food.

Because mommy is a sucker, I got her some cotton candy between shows. She was STOKED she didn't have to share it!
