Finally Settling In

After 10 months, 3 weeks, and 4 days ... my kids are home and we are adjusting. It is great to have them back home, but it is even better having our family work as a team. We still have our spats, but respect is something that is given to all. I am finally able to look at my blog and say "oh heavens!" Let's do a quick sum and move on.


Peanut - entering 5th grade at school and is eager to meet those in her class. She will be starting Allegro in just a few weeks. She is becoming quite the young lady and has asked for a phone to keep in contact with us while she is out of the house. We are buying her phone, but she will be paying the monthly bill. To pay for this, she will be doing odd jobs and getting paid to do reviews. I will announce her blog when we have it opened!

Bullfrog - entering 3rd grade. He has made a ton of friends in our new complex and is excited about riding the bus to school. Still very much into nature and super heroes. He will be starting Taekwondo this fall.

Monkey - Loves Barbies and baby dolls. She also is expanding her vocabulary and Turtle is HER Turtle ;)

Turtle - SO excited about her siblings being here every time she wakes from a nap or bedtime.

We have officially gotten everyone enrolled in school and Peanut is officially enrolled in Allegro. Jer and I are starting Dave Ramsey's Financial Makeover and we are doing real good about making a budget and sticking to it. We still are faltering but MUCH better than before. In a couple weeks we will be done with debt #1!!! SO excited about it all. We have a lot of family goals and thanks to Google Docs, we are keeping them in a location where we both can see them.

I have a set work time, so if you need me, feel free to find me on Skype or GTalk from 6pm to 2am. Other than that, I cannot promise that I will receive text messages, emails, IMs, or any other communications! Thanks to all my true friends who stuck by my side through the entire ordeal and I could rely on to be there when I truly needed it (whether online or late night texting sessions).

Jeremy and I have dedicated May 26, 2013 to May 25, 2014 as a Better Year ... better health, better family, better communication, and better finances!
