Did you guys like the Target giveaway? I had a GREAT time giving it to you as a thank you for the number of likes on my FB page. The next giveaway is just because! There is no requirement to number of likes my page must have before this starts, because I just feel like doing something else for back to school shopping.
In my husband's side of the family, we finally have a member heading off to college and one family had their youngest just start Kindergarten. Everyone is growing up and the school supplies are flying off the shelves. Our family alone had to buy new backpacks (not sure where their backpacks are from last year at the moment), pencils, pens, dry erase markers, notebooks, and folders. I don't know about y'all but I SWEAR the list gets longer. Earlier this month I took care of the younger kids with a Target Gift Card and this time, I am celebrating the older "children" going off to college. College starts later than elementary and secondary schools, so many of you are just now heading out to buy goodies.
Do you have kids heading off to college? How much do you normally spend? Do you shop at Costco or Sam's Club for bulk shopping? Do you plan ahead (as we are trying to do with our kids)? This week, I am giving away a $25 gift card to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. You will be able to shop online or in the store. You can look at appliances that your college student may need, keeping your credit cards in your pocket. You could also send the card to your child instead of cash, giving them a simple "I'm thinking of you," note.
I don't know about you guys but I STILL remember the aroma that came from my hamper because I dreaded driving to the Laundromat. I missed the organization from high school locker and the help my parents gave me with homework. College was a new experience that came with many responsibilities, and a variety of necessary items. Having to spend thousands towards books and tuition, even the smallest financial gift meant that I could do something for me.
