One of the biggest things we needed as a business was a logo. This is imperative when you are looking at branding and it was something we also needed for our business cards. I may be a talented writer, but I am NOT talented when it comes to graphics. I don't even pretend to be! So, after talking with the hubby, we decided that a contest was in order. I am in LOVE with the design that won, but both the entries were great.
So, who designed the winning logo? Let me introduce you to Lauren Siminski!
Short Bio:
I am currently a sophomore Graphic Design student at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. I have been working on freelance graphic design work since the age of fourteen and I'm proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Company Bio:
I am the owner of "Zaffire Apparel", an Etsy shop that sells unique, make-to-order T-shirts. Zaffire Apparel opened up in June 2012, and all proceeds go directly into my college fund. You can visit Zaffire here: https://www.etsy.com/ shop/Zaffire
What are your future plans?
Upon graduating MICA in 2016, I hope to go directly into a well-paid graphic design job preferably on the West Coast. I'm not entirely sure what design field I want to enter yet, but luckily I still have time to figure that out!
What projects do you hope to work on?
I enjoy working on all sorts of design projects, but the bigger and more exciting projects, the better the outcome. I think the more challenging a project is, the stronger I become as a designer.
