I apologize for being awol. It really is a situation of "sorry. not sorry." I have been dealing with a lot of family and parenting issues. I tell you, it is hard having children grow up. I was completely unprepared for it and ready for my kids to be little again.
While still reeling from the horrific news of the 10 year old girl that was abducted and killed in Springfield, I got to have a real life encounter with technology and children. Peanut is safe and unharmed, but it was a real wake-up call on how scary technology can be. It is also very scary on how old she is getting. We are working through everything and preparing her phone to be locked down to be safe. For those who were notified, she will be getting her phone back. It will just take us awhile to make sure it is completely set up for her. Lessons suck ... even for the parents!
However stressful parenting can be, there are always those little rays of sunshine that always make it worthwhile. Your almost three year old screaming from the other room that she "no love you no more," but it makes you laugh. An almost 15 month old scampering out with a singing purple dinosaur that is NOT Barney and trying to sing the A, B, C's with it. The children begging you to tuck them in and then tricking you into reading with them (even though you are supposed to be getting back downstairs to work).
Then there is my favorite from today. With the shades on ... she is SUPER Chloe. With them off, she is just regular Chloe. She could fly and save her babies. Who can not smile when that is going on .... even if she is supposed to be taking a nap? ;)
