Tic Toc Time

One of the hardest things for children to learn is how to tell time. It is not a normal concept, and there are terms that can be very confusing. It is easy to figure out the every 5 minutes, but the short hand and long hand can be confusing. Enter a great app by Seven Academy, Tic Toc Time.
The job of teaching children how to tell time is done by a family of beavers from Canada. You have a story line that keeps your children interested, preventing them from realizing they are learning. The children will learn four basic skill sets:

• Learning direction/Compass skills
• Using position of sun to tell time
• How the rotation of sun dictates time
• Terminology of telling time and using the hands on the clock.

As you can see, the beavers go through nature and outer space to teach time. Your child will get to use a working compass on the screen, that moves as they walk around. To make sure they fully understand concepts, they can play the games that act as challenges.

Tic Toc Time uses a holistic approach to teaching your child a concept that is very abstract. Your child will learn both analog time and digital clocks. If you want something that simplifies the lesson for your child, or you are a teacher and want something to add into your lesson plan, this is a great app.
