Understanding My Brand

It can be difficult stumbling onto a blog to really get what they want to get across. Sometimes it is spelled out for you. There are parenting blogs and entrepreneur blogs ... but then there are the personal blogs that have been branded. That is where I am. It was difficult when people asked me what my niche was. It was easier to tell them what I wasn't!

I am NOT:
  • a food blogger
  • a fashion blog
  • religious blog
  • a travel blog
However ... I'm not REALLY a parenting blog, but I talk about parenting. I am not REALLY a health blog, but I talk about health topics. When I went to Type-A Parenting Conference in Atlanta, I went as a Lifestyle blog. But that is such a BROAD topic. When I was at the conference though, I realized that I do have a niche. It is just a small niche, but one that is growing.

So, what is my blog about? What is my brand about? My target keywords are my hot topics. Therefore, to better understand my brand, let me tell you my target keywords.

  • Parenting Teens
  • Teens online
  • Technology and Children
  • Mental illness (specifically bi-polar, depression, anxiety, and OCD)
  • Health & Wellness
  • Beauty
  • Large Families
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Staying Organized
When you see a yellow "m," you will think of everything McDonald's is about. I hope when you see my Phoenix or hear Birdcage Media (or Redbird Empire) that you think of a mom who has hit rock bottom and come back with renewed life. I am rising from the ashes of depression and want to share my journey with you!
