Rockin' the Short Post

Well, yesterday was election day and due to a mix-up, I wasn't registered at my new address. I was completely out of my element as I have voted every year since I turned 18. Not only did I HATE not being able to vote, I am very SAD with my state and their sheeple tendencies. I just don't have it in me to write much today.

I invite you, instead, to check out my About Me page and the tags on the right about things I blog about. Feel free to use my comment section to give me feedback on things you like about the blog and what you would love to see more of. Let's consider this critique day since I feel like being very critical about the state of KS government. *sigh*

  1. It's interesting how some people take their right/duty to vote very seriously, and others don't ever vote for apathy or laziness. I just heard the story of a girl who could not register to vote because someone else had registered in her name, and she could not get it sorted out in time to cast her vote. And I have at least one employee, despite our insistence that he leave work to vote (without losing any pay) that he did not want to vote because he didn't feel his vote mattered and nothing we vote on has ever affected his life.

  2. I applaud you in having a passion, in our elections. It is the only time we can feel part of the interactions of politics. That is for us normal, people.

There is much more to it. If done right . Our thoughts are with the right person, and we have used our little power of voting. Together, we can and will make a difference, one day.

  3. I've grown very tired of the divide and conquer mindset that has plagued America's political landscape. We are a global economy now with many competitive pressures, and that's where our focus needs to be. Our education and economy are on a downward spiral and Russia, China and India couldn't be more pleased. To be great, America needs to stand united. I know insanely smart republicans and democrats but what good is it when they put party before country. My motto is that if each individual focuses on being great, then the greater team will become great. Don't let anything shift your focus.

  4. Hi Heather,

I had the same problem on Tuesday. We moved and did not realize that we had not updated our address until Election Day. It was also my first time not voting :(

  5. Sorry to hear you are not able to vote Heather, it's important that your voice is heard especially if all the others are sheep. Let's hope you can get your registration etc sorted soon x

  6. The majority have always been sheep - waiting to see which way the wind blows. They just want a quiet life rather than working for the life they want. They are the disappointed ones. For them, life was big and they made it small. So take courage from the fact that nothing was ever won easily.
