I am a home schooling mother so holidays like President's Day RARELY bother our schedule, BUT how can you pass up a five hour skate session? FIVE HOURS, and did I mention that five hours is only costing you six dollars?! That is just over a dollar an hour. There is no better entertainment than that. Even Chloe agreed for the first two and a half hours. She was dancing, kids were skating and I was working. Then she fell sound asleep, but the kids are still skating. Skate World KC is one of THE best places in the KC Metro to go skating. They are great with children and keep things jumping all the time. The best part, I do not have to worry about my children not learning. They have done the limbo, teaching flexibility. They have done the hokey pokey, teaching anatomy. They have now just done a number game for prizes like shirts and free skate passes. The kids learned that dice is plural and die is singular. They learned number order and numbers that are odd and even. They have even reversed the skate direction which reiterates the direction vocabulary we have gone over. The kids do not even realize they are learning.
My favorite part of the entire day? The fact that tonight they will sleep because of five hours of skating!
