Such a whirlwind week

I have put off making this post, and finally just scheduled it because I couldn't contain myself with writing it! I apologize for the break in the blog updates but there wasn't much I COULD say on my personal blog without spilling the news.

Today was Jeremy's last official day with Treat America. After 10 years and just over 7 months, we are moving on. He will be starting school in September and Canteen will offer better hours, better pay, and better benefits while he furthers his education. His new supervisor is actually one of his old supervisors from years ago. We could not be more thrilled. He should be home early enough in the afternoon to get a good nap before school. It will still be a very long and rough seven months, but much easier than what it would have been.

Of course, with this sudden change, we had to get all our ducks in a row. We are finishing up getting Healthwave set up so that there is no lapse in insurance for Monkey and I. The older children do not have any necessary visits until after Jeremy is eligible for insurance.

Top that off with my work just REALLY taking off. I absolutely LOVE being a freelance writer. I have had several things just suddenly line up and get going for me. One of my friends, who is also a freelance writer, has stated that with patience and good juggling skills, you can do it. Of course, with any at home job there are highs and lows. I will relish in the highs, even though it means I don't have much time for extra activities at the moment.

I hope everyone has a great week and stays cool. Temps and I are not getting along real well so I am starting to hide in the a/c except early morning and late at night!
