Such excitement in this house!

We absolutely love the new year here in this house. It brings about a fresh start and school restarting. HOWEVER, it also brings about PARTIES. My family hits party mode mid-October and we don't end that mode until the beginning of April. It's CRAZY.

In October, we got to enjoy my birthday with those who were closest to me (and celebrate birthdays). We then celebrated Halloween with Trunk or Treat at church and trick or treating around the neighborhood.

In November, we held a Creeper party for Bullfrog who turned 10 and then had a great Thanksgiving.

This was the second year that we didn't do much for Turtle's birthday, but she didn't care. We did hold a celebratory dinner for my friend.  We would have done Christmas as well ... but we all got the stomach bug. We were sick from Christmas day to the Sunday after (which caused us to miss my husband's work party as well).

Now that it is January ... we have a whole new set of parties to throw! So, what's on the agenda?

{Giveaway} Happy Birthday ... #DisneySide Style!

*I was selected by MomSelect and Disney Parks to host a #DisneySide party. I have received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own.*

Today was our much anticipated #DisneySide birthday party for Adella. We spent much of last night preparing with the last push this morning. We were finishing everything up as guests began to show.

Preparation for a Disney Party!

*I was selected by MomSelect and Disney Parks to host a #DisneySide party. I have received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own.*

I am so incredibly excited about tomorrow! We are having a party in our house to celebrate my oldest daughter's 11th birthday. We invited 3x as many people as we wanted, but just like we predicted the RSVPs fall right into our desired numbers. The preparations are being done today, with a little more tomorrow morning.

Party planning is the fun part!

I absolutely LOVE planning the party ... and doing the prep work. I have to really prep myself for the actual party and then the clean-up sucks. HOWEVER ... I LOVE the planning stage.

So, I have done the invitations:

I have pinned a variety of ideas for games, snacks, and decorations on Pinterest. Some of them include:

BUT ... what I haven't decided on yet is the cake! I know I am doing either a flat cake or a tiered cake. However, I haven't figured out which one yet. Again, tons pinned ...

So ... ideas? Thoughts? The party is about 30 days away. I know my little Peanut cannot wait!
*I am getting to throw a #DisneySide party with items compliments of Disney Parks, Mom Select, and Disney Side @Home Celebrations. I will be adding in extras of my own items for the party and all opinions are mine.*

Time to watch the mailbox!

I have TWO packages coming this week for my blog and I am getting more than a little impatient. With one box, I get to review some products and then offer some to a lucky reader! With the other box, I get to host a DISNEY PARTY!!! Peanut is excited because the party will be for her. We are celebrating sorta big for her 11th because she didn't get a 10th birthday party.

We don't know what will be in either box, so we are planning Peanut's party and then going to use what is in the box as additional bonuses. :) We are planning a Teen Beach Movie birthday party and so I am working on all of the different things to do. We are going to do the party here, and then we are going to let 3 of the children stay over.

On another note -
It was nice outside so we kicked the kids outside to play. The younger two needed their room cleaned, so I took care of that. Then I decided to rearrange their room so they had more space to play. I think all that room is missing now is a Disney rug and some stuff on the wall. :D Monkey loves Phineas & Ferb and Turtle is still pretty open.
