The past few days

The past few days have been an absolute blur. We have had several trials and tribulations and also got to deal with the IRS.

Currently waiting on a letter from a previous company that states the company that bought them out was supposed to fix all the paperwork as many people were either double billed or the information was doubly transmitted as in our case. Basically the company I worked for was bought out mid-year by another company and both companies submitted statements about how much I was paid at the end of the year, making it look like I had incorrectly stated my income on our taxes. The IRS wanted us to just pay it and they would re-imburse it when it was all settled. Phooey on that, I don't have that kind of money just lying around! I was an independent contractor. Not one cent I made at that job was taxed! So anyway, called the company I DID work for and they sent me on the run around finally getting the person I needed a few hours later. She simply stated that she was noticing many people calling this year, so she is going to email the other company letting them know the problem never was fixed and then she also sent me a copy of the letter from the buy-out and courts that this was already settled and I have to do nothing. *sigh* I tell ya, got me all in a bother fearing I was going to owe the IRS over $10,000 all the sudden!

We are also working on getting completely caught up to date on laundry and that is a task in itself. Came to the decision I would just wash & dry everything and then over the next few days, fold fold fold. I NOW understand why it infuriated my mother when we wore something and then would just put it on the ground. sheesh, half this stuff would NOT have had to be washed had it been put away when a couple kids were going through the morning ritual of "what do I want to wear"

Well, it is 11pm and the wash is finally done. I think the batteries for the camera are almost charged, my iPod is almost completely updated, and I just need to make lunches for tomorrow. We leave the house at 7:45am and don't come home until around 4pm. Summer vacation has begun folks!
