Friday through Sunday Update

Well Friday was a washout. We were hoping to go to the pool and that never happened because it stormed. That really stunk. Jeremy got home early from work and so we napped ... well the kids got up before us and the bathroom was hit again. We have come to the decision about the bathroom is all toys will have to be checked out from the living room to be played with since they can't seem to play nice with them. This will also ensure they get picked up. As soon as they are willing to play nice with them, not throw them at each other or the walls, or shove them down the sink, they will get to have the toys back in their room. In the afternoon, though, I did go buy the pool passes so we would have that on Saturday. I got my picture ID and then found out that the kids would need cards too but I hadn't brought them!



So Saturday morning we went back to the Civic Center to get the kid's cards done and the person who was supposed to be there no-showed. So we spent the gas on nothing. We were told though that they could look the kids up without a charge this time since the person wasn't there. So we were off to the block party. That is what the new set of pictures and video is. Wonderscope had their open house and then several businesses showed up to participate. The kids made compost lawn in a plastic container, leather punch, bookmarks, bean plants in a peat container, and treasure boxes. After the block party we went to the pool for a couple hours. The kids came home and crashed.

I worked last night and trained. My other co-worker who was supposed to train with me wasn't feeling so great so I sent him home with the closing shift because I just didn't want to deal with one person who was training and another person who barely moved. It was easier this way, especially with him being completely indifferent. I am not sure exactly what all is going on right now with him, but because we are friends in and out of work, I will talk to him today to see what is going on. We had a psycho cat mom drop off her cat and it is a Bengal. My FAVORITE breed of cat. This cat, however, is PISSED at me because *I* am the one who took her from mommy so she went psychizo with me. Leapt out of my arms in the cat room and over my head, nicking my ear in the process. We left her out of her room in the TLC cat room all night to settle and relax. She is scared, upset, and missing mommy. We are hoping she will feel better tonight as she is here for 16 days. Bengals are extreme peoples' cats so I know that in a few days she will loosen up. It is breaking my heart, though because all I want is to hold her and brush her! lol

Well, I am off to get dinner made and prepare for work. This week is my last 5 days in a row shift.... I think. I am not sure what will occur for next Saturday, the 5th, as there are going to be anywhere from 80-100 dogs and one co-worker who is on her second overnight and only 2nd week working period (not to mention she was coerced into overnights) and our other co-worker is having issues. We shall see. Friday night will be horrendous. I will have between 110-130 dogs and I have a lot of activities on Saturday. So if there isn't much of an update next weekend ... that's why. We have no 4th of July plans, but we do have plans on the 5th.
