what to do

Well, I got myself in a small jam. At work they have made a very strong point that the workers who are the better employees work day shift and the slower crew get closing shift when things are slower. Well, I am slowly being asked to work more opening and mid shifts. This is a problem because I have 2 kids and a husband who has a very good paying job but steady hours. I don't want to lose my chances of getting promoted but at the same time, I can't ask someone to watch the kids, take Peanut to and from school, and have the schedule not be steady week to week! I also really don't have the cash to pay someone by the hour! We thought about trying to find someone and barter with food and gas but that is still difficult to do. I just don't really know what I want to do yet. I am waiting for Kim to get back from vacation so I can talk to her about everything and ideas. Until then, I am not really sure what, if anything, there is to do about it.
