Friday we went to the playground to play with C, Peanut's "boyfriend" from school, and we didn't even hit the playground before Peanut got a phone call. I answered the phone and was responded with "Can I talk to *Peanut*?" WHAT?! She is 5 yrs old. Peanut talked to Khya, a girl from her class, for about 10 minutes before actually starting to play on the playground. School was out for the day and it was so nice. I just wish Khya could have gone to the park with us. Bullfrog discovered Isabelle, C's younger sister, and played with her while C & Peanut hung out. Unfortunatly, K and O were at day cares for the afternoon.
HOWEVER, Saturday was the Renaissance Festival. We took K with us. We were there from 11am to 2:45am. Then we hit Sonic and went back to Antioch Park because the kids had a ton of energy and we weren't taking K back to her dad until 5ish. They played until almost 5pm at the park. K and Peanut are almost inseparable. They are all are giggles and jokes. Peanut is learning social skills that are vitally important and she is also learning that children that are only children are more dominating in a friendship than she is. I got tons of photos from the day but they aren't up yet. Hopefully tomorrow. We got home around 6pm and everyone was out cold by 6:30pm. I woke at 8pm and went to work so I am unsure what time the kids got up.
I had a rough day at work as I screwed up on a reservation last week. I have learned and moved on except now I am paranoid about the other reservations I have made. I have to get past that before I will be ready for a promotion. It was only a big thing because I didn't change the day of pick up so it made it look like the owner abandoned their pet. *sigh* I didn't realize that the computer resets after so long so even if you are on the phone with the client, you have to double check the check-out date before saving it. I know for next time and no one is upset since I am learning and nothing happened. However, I am beating myself up a little about it. We are having a few other squirmishes at work but we are going to play things a little different to solve them. I am not wanting to complain to my boss who just got back from vacation until another week has gone by and things get worse. It is hard going from the overnight shift to the day shift because I am now viewed (by a couple overnight employees) as a day crew and one to be bad mouthed. Not that it bugs me that much but the things she is doing has crossed the line and has made several people VERY upset so I will let her destroy herself before taking it to the boss lady. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!
Today, Sunday, was a LONG day. I went to bed at 8am and then K's birthday party was at Chuck E Cheese at 1pm. So Bullfrog and Peanut got to play there until about 3:30pm. I didn't take one photo. I was shooting the breeze with Corbin's mother and Olivia's mother. As well as talking off and on with K's dad & aunt. It was nice to actually have some adult time while the kids were off goofing around. The kids got K an Snow White Barbie and wrapped it in Spiderman wrapping paper. K's dad thought it was cute. We are still waiting on our school order to come in. It has been a month and I am not sure how long it takes. I will let you guys know when it comes in.
Well, it is 11pm which means it is bedtime. If it doesn't rain, we are going back to the park tomorrow. But Peanut will be Star of the Week this week so we have got her poster all made and ready to go to school tomorrow. K's actual birthday is tomorrow so I am sure I will hear more about that tomorrow.
