Daycamp was ROUGH yesterday as well. We had 8 CRAZY large dogs, 3 of which liked to play with the drinking water so by the end of my hour and 15 minutes with them, I was soaked from my knees down. *sigh* Then I went into small dogs and stayed there until my break. That wasn't the bad part though. In the late afternoon, we had 2 of the large dogs check out, one of them rammed the side of the gate while we were taking them out and busted the door. It fell on my co-worker's head giving her a welt and then we had 4 of the remaining 6 running loose. I threw the two dogs that were checking out into an empty room and our other manager ran for 2 of the 4 dogs, leaving the pet parents in the lobby alone for about 5 minutes. She took them into the front playroom and I grabbed the remaining 2. Then I ran back to assist my co-worker/other manager to get the final 2 dogs and get her into the front playroom. I then grabbed the 2 dogs checking out, got that finished and then took care of another pet parent that had come in. We were then way behind because we had a PCS (my status) quit, and the other called in a family emergency. We were lucky though because one of the night crew was willing to work a 12 hour shift (come in 1 hour early, work a 11 hour shift due to Daylight Savings), just to give us a hand. We still clocked out at 9:40pm. *sigh*
I then had to take care of my sister's cats and go shopping. I am glad I decided to go after work and not Sunday though, because the water was already low. I will go check on them again tomorrow after taking Peanut to school. I need to see if I can do advance voting tomorrow as well. I have a LOT to get done and somehow get Peanut from school and co-worker to work. I have a feeling that this week will not be any calmer than last week.
I need a vacation!
