Well, I bit the bullet and decided to eat 40 hours of my vacation time and use it this week. I left work at 7:30pm tonight and will not return until probably 1pm on Monday March 9th. This is a much needed vacation! Today was a long day with a short staff but we got through it okay.
My daughter is currently selling stuff for her school's PTA so if you want anything, let me know. We turn in the orders on March 10th.
Peanut's birthday & party was yesterday and it went smashingly well. I am SO happy that we were able to secure Monkey Bizness and it was so much fun for the adults and children. I have photos but I haven't posted them yet. Moms & children climbing up the rock wall, moms/dads/children all playing on the inflatable gyms, and children playing in the toddler area. Peanut got a ton of Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and Disney Princess items. She is ecstatic. She got home and wasn't sure what to play with first! We did go to Chili's after the party and Peanut was so pooped she hardly ate a thing. She ate a pretty big slice of her cake though at Monkey Bizness. I should state her cake was strawberry, the frosting was pink vanilla and the icing was in pink! But at Chili's, we through rules out the window and let her have her free birthday molten cake without eating much of her dinner. She ate about 2 bites of her corn dog and maybe 3 fries, but we decided that it was her birthday and so let her sugar up. She still went to bed shortly after getting home. Doesn't hurt that she has a new clock that has AM/FM radio on it. Put that thing on Radio Disney and she went to sleep with it on (sleep was on so it went off about an hour later). Tonight she had me set her alarm for tomorrow morning. She loves the night light that is on it too. Just a huge hit all the way around.
Well, I am going to wrap this up and take full advantage of being able to get a full night's sleep tonight. Even though I am on vacation, I will still stay up until 11pm to get Jeremy up and then get back up at 7:30am to take Peanut to school but I will have the ability to nap during the day. My objectives this week are to finish a cross-stitch project that NEEDS to be done by this weekend, and to get some of the walls cleaned in the kids room. Jeremy cleaned the living room today and I had tackled the kitchen last Thursday. I am starting to feel like we have a house again. I have this sneaking suspicion, though, that mid-way through this week I am going to regret taking the whole week off and want to go back! lol
