I am a TERRIBLE blogger! Actually, I have just been bad over the past few months. I used to be a good blogger. Anyway, I have been starting to go through my house room by room and doing 3 things to the items we haven't used in awhile: 1. trash bag; 2. donation box; or 3. storage. The kids room have almost been done. I still have to do their closets.
So, let's see, we have a new suit for Bullfrog. It really isn't a suit as much as it is a shirt, tie, dress pants, and dress shoes. I am working on getting the photos off my phone so hopefully that will be up soon. We just got him belts yesterday so his pants won't fall down.
Peanut's hair is now long enough to put it up in a pony tail, or pig tails. She is ecstatic. She wants her hair to be long like her friend Josie's. Mainly she wants to put a Disney Princess hair tie in it. She can also tie her shoes now! In July, whether she thinks she is ready or not, we are taking the training wheels off the bike. We are taking her to the VoTech in Manhattan where I learned to ride my bike. I think we might start taking her to our church here in KC and get her used to balancing on the bike and trying a few things before we take the wheels off.
Work for me has gotten pretty crazy. My boss is easier to work with but we now only have 2 people working after 7pm so it is pretty chaotic from 5-7pm to get a majority of the check-outs done, keep up with the rooms, and start walks ... all while getting in lunches. On Monday, we had a woman come at 7pm to drop of her cat without a reservation. Normally, not an issue, HOWEVER, she was a new client so I had to BEG Banfield to look up her records because they closed at 7pm. If it had been any other vet, she would have been out of luck but that Banfield loves us. So, we got all that done and then all the paperwork was finished by 7:45pm. *sigh* Meanwhile, we had a couple check-outs and still had rooms to do. So Nancy was in the back working because she said this woman was weird BEFORE she walked in! Boy was she EVER right. I checked the cat in because she said it was in her car, but turns out that she wanted to take it on a walk first. So, we just had to hope she came back because her cat was checked in! She did eventually come back ... 15 minutes before we closed. She wanted to put the cat in her room and get it all set up, again usually not an issue. However, our room, I guess, was not sanitized enough for her cat as she brought wet naps to clean every bar on the front of the room! I had to get a new food bowl because there was a little bit of water in the food dish. I also had to get a new litter box because our litter had touched that box and she wanted a clean box to put the litter she uses in there. She informed us that our litter is too hard to clean. Does it matter? We are the ones cleaning it, not them. Whatever, she isn't the first person to use their own litter. However, the previous person had a cat that has a TON of allergies so she was using recycled newspaper litter. *sigh* Yesterday was bad because we have an employee in the hospital so we had no one scheduled after 4pm. Mark was awesome and stayed until 6pm at least getting our lunches out of the way. Also he had Debbie clean the front playroom and try to keep up on the rooms since I normally do all the rooms, the front and side playroom, as well as all the dishes and water carts because I am the closing associate 4 nights out of the week. It was a nice break from the hum drum of work.
Shopped for Peanut yesterday so she has a full summer wardrobe. Almost all of Bullfrog's clothes still fit him as they were a hair too big last year. I found a couple swimsuits that I love for Peanut but we are going to wait until June to buy her a new suit. We aren't going to the pool before then and our next check comes on our anniversary weekend so we want to have our disposable income to splurge a little on ourselves. I still need shorts though. I think Jer has a pair but I don't believe I have one that actually fits. I used to have 2-3 pair but they are all too big now so that rocks!
This week will be spent looking at our budget for when to fit in an appointment to get our birds checked out (annual visit), Johnny's meds, get my eyes checked and glasses bought, get everyone in dental, get my bloodwork redone and check on my knee. Oh yeah, my knee is beginning to swell again and hurt a ton. I currently have it wrapped while at work because I think it was work that has been agitating it. I need to first call my insurance and see how much they will pay for an MRI, just in case a new one will be needed for my knee.
I also will be officially looking for a preschool for Bullfrog. We are going to look for one that is an all day preschool either 3 days a week or 2. That way I can work during the day 2-3 days a week and not only be a closer. I love closing, don't get me wrong, but I like opens and mids as well. I am ALMOST to the point of liking my job again. lol
