I haven't been on my blog because it has been hard to really be on the computer a lot. I have been in a lot of pain lately in my pelvic region and was at the doctor 3 times last week, the ER on Saturday and then back to my dr. on Tuesday. We ruled out ovarian cysts, pregnancy, kidney stones, and other blockages with blood tests, sonogram, and a CT scan. So earlier today I went in for laparoscopy. Unfortunately, we really didn't get an answer there. I go back to the dr in 2 weeks for a follow-up where I will get a better answer of what went on because I don't remember the dr talking to me at all so I am going on what Jer says. According to Jer they unfolded some things (he says lesions, I am beginning to wonder if he meant adhesions but I dunno) and the dr said usually that does the trick. However, I had a lot of gas in my colon so I will be changing my diet (no spicy or greasy foods, no milk without lactose pills, lots of fiberous foods) and if the pain doesn't go away, I will be looking at going to a GI doctor. I might still need to do that even if the pain does go away and I am still gassy. I guess my appendix is also harder than most. He isn't sure if it is normal for me since I haven't experienced any pain on my right side or not but I am to watch that. Other than that, we opted to leave the IED in since it didn't seem to be obviously causing the pain.
Truthfully, other than being frustrated that there wasn't anything obviously causing the pain, I am feeling better. The only ache I have are in the areas where the 2 small incisions were but my pelvic pain isn't nearly as bad. I am sure it will ache for a few days simply because they jacked around with it.
So it is back to work for me tomorrow night and press forward. Hopefully we can get through this without too much more in the way of dr. visits. I have spent nearly $700 out of pocket so far and not really has been found out.
