Skate Party

Well today was a LOT of fun. It really hasn't ended completely because the kids are still awake. Will work on that when I get off this blog.
I picked up the girls from school and we all went to Steve's house to let the kidlets play and K read to her dad. That way he could sign off on her sheets. Peanut played Wii while Bullfrog and K played board games. Then Bullfrog played Wii and Peanut helped K pick out a few toys to bring over. (like we need more toys in our house) After letting them play for awhile, we headed to our house. Peanut did her reading while Bullfrog and K played. Then it was time to go to the skate party.

The girls had so much fun together. K skated with me a bit and then I had to rest. I have spent the past two nights at the gym walking 3 miles a night and my legs were killing me. Peanut took off and really got into it. They talked with friends and congregated. Got invited to a birthday party that was currently going on (at least they knew the birthday girl!) and I rarely saw them. I sat and talked to the parent of the new girl in their class. The only real bummer for Peanut was they didn't do the hokey pokey or the birthday party skate at the end. I swear the skate was earlier in the evening but maybe I was wrong. Either way, she had a minor meltdown about it.

Came home and let the girls play on the DS until 9pm and then kicked them to bed. Been dealing with a little boy who isn't handling the girls getting to do a whole lot without him very well. K did spend quite a bit of time wooing him though. Too cute.
