Getting a jump start

Well I know it isn't spring ... YET, but I am not letting that slow me down. Last week I recycled several large pieces of electronics that we never use or have already replaced with newer models. This week I am getting a start on our bedroom. This room hasn't been touched since we moved in basically so needless to say it is a DISASTER! I am having problems with that because I want the kids to keep their room clean so mom & dad should follow suit. So earlier this week I did our 2 part bathroom. We are down to just wiping a few cabinets down and then it is clean. Yay. There is a lot more room in that room then I remember. Sad.

Today I am working on one of our two closets. Right now we can only access this one closet so it has become a catch all. I have cleaned most of it out and found 3 more "spare" keyboards. What in tarnation. Our house is a breeding ground for misc computer parts. lol. So we will discuss which of the 4 keyboards ... if any ... we want to keep and take the rest to Best Buy to recycle. I have a box of clothes growing to take to the Shawnee Mission Clothing Closet.

I also had a follow-up dr visit today at my primary care doctor and learned several things. I do indeed have IBS and have had IBS since high school. If the red meat is lean (93% or higher) then I can have it in limited amounts. I can not have any dairy food. She believes I am completely lactose intolerant now and she is not a fan of lactose intolerance pills because my body is allergic to dairy and it is like I am exposing myself to it and then just taking an epi-pen shot. So I have been told to stay away, period. I am to continue taking my iron supplements and now add a calcium chew once a day in addition to my vitamin. This means that I will ALSO have to continue my fiber supplements as calcium and iron mess with your system. Joy. HOWEVER, on the up side, I am very healthy. My thyroid is fine, my lipids are on the high side of normal but fine, and my body seems to be doing okay when I take my iron supplements as directed. I am very excited about that. Always being told you are healthy feels good I suppose! :)
