Last night we had a shake up of plans. We were supposed to have the missionaries over and then we were going to catch a movie but the missionaries were running behind schedule. So instead we opted to have our Father's Day celebration on Friday instead of Sunday. We went to Red Robin for dinner and then went to Sheridan's in Olathe to have frozen custard and watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on an inflatable screen. Kids crashed hard when they got home, but of course they had been playing hard all day.
Then this morning we got up early to take Jer into work and then had plans for today that all went to pots. The swimming was not part of the block party so we bailed and went home. I was hoping the pool would at least still be open since the block party was going on, but no. So we went home, grabbed Jer and went shopping. That was when the day started to end for the kids. Peanut had a full blown melt-down when we took skating away from her after she beat on Bullfrog. Both kids fell asleep after we forced them both to their own rooms and to lay on their beds. They slept until 5pm so they must have been very tired. We got our normal "good" kids back when they woke. We had tickets to the T-Bone's game tonight because it was 4-H night. The kids got to walk all the way around the field as a "parade" and got to name their club and what city it is in. She then also got to answer a question, which was a simple "are you having fun in 4-H?" The kids had a blast and we watched fireworks after the game. However, during the game, I was drinking a Coke and Peanut asked me when she gets to drink caffeine. I told her not until she is older, but we would prefer never since it is bad for you. She then, of course, asked why I drank it. I told her because I have a hard time stopping since I drank it for a long time. She asked why it was bad for you. Told her that it can speed your heart up so much and could possibly cause your heart to stop working right. She then freaked out and said "you need to stop, I don't want you dead!" I told her that it is hard and so she said she would help. She would tell me that I need to get water every time I try to buy a soda. I simply said, fine, but you need to let me have my caffeine first thing in the morning. She said okay, all the other times though I need healthy water like she drinks. I am so glad I have a health nut daughter. lol
