Baby Shower & More

Today went SO much better than yesterday. We spent the morning just chilling and I got a nap in. This afternoon we dropped Bullfrog off at his friends' house, Peanut off at her photography meeting and then we headed over to our shower. Due to work schedules, kid events, and stupid viruses going around, only a handful of people were able to make the party BUT it was SOOOO much fun!

We sat around and chatted for THREE hours. Jer hung out with the hostess' husband and said he had fun so that was good. Besides, there was free yummy food. How can you not enjoy yourself?! One of my friend's brought her little girl, who is growing up WAY too fast, and she was in the spotlight the whole time. I miss having her at my house so much! After the party, we went back to pick the kids up and came home for Family Home Evening. We are following a blog called A Year of FHE to help us have them weekly since I am terrible at planning them myself right now and didn't want that to be the reason we don't have them. We did song, scripture, lesson, and then a monthly song that we will go over each week for a month. Then I made cupcakes and used my new cake decorating tools to top them. Then we let the kids put sprinkles on top. It was great fun and it is always fun to hear how the kids interpret the stories and relate them to their life. They are both getting very good at saying VERY relevant prayers and their reading abilities amaze me!

Tonight's photo is one that Peanut took at the Plaza with the lights. Unfortunately her settings weren't right and many of the photos didn't come out. BUT we are hoping to catch the lights tomorrow night and see if she can't get a few more taken then. If not, we will plan on going this fall for next year's 4-H project shoot!
