Yesterday, we made a "Pony Express" run to Manhattan. We went to see my parents, a friend, and Jeremy's mother. We had stuff for my father and they had stuff for us, and then my friend had stuff for us, and finally my mother-in-law had stuff for us. We actually had stuff for my sister-in-law and it was IN the van! I can't believe I forgot to drop it off. Growl. :( The kids played on their scooters outside in the "nice" weather for just over an hour and then we headed over to Jeremy's mother's house. He was afraid it was just a tad too cold to let the kids play outside at the park for 3 1/2 hours. I think the kids wouldn't have minded too much but they had fun at Mema's house anyway. We did take them to the park to meet up with our friend. The kids played at the park for just over an hour. I was hoping to have them outside as much as possible, since it was the final day of our great temperature. Needless to say, the kids zonked out shortly after getting in the van at 7:15pm and then were back out when we got them into bed. Of course, after all that driving, with off and on Braxton Hicks, I was exhausted so no blog post yesterday.

Today, different story! I am still exhausted but got a lot done today. After church, ran to HyVee to get some bread and a few other needed items. Then we took a good nap. It has been forever since I took a nap with my husband and I was out cold. It was awesome. After our nap we got to cleaning house. With the kids help, the living room is all organized and the kitchen got re-organized as well. Very proud of how much we got done. Made an easy dinner that was a huge success. It isn't often I make a soup that the kids want seconds of! I made a potato cheese soup and served it with ham steaks smothered in a homemade cheese sauce. Then the kids ate homemade cookies for dessert that were given to me by my Visiting Teacher. YAY!
The only bummer is we have a NASTY storm headed our way that we are keeping our eye on. It is supposed to be all freezing rain tomorrow from 3am until sometime evening. Then it will change over to snow and drop somewhere between 8" and 16" in our area by the end of Tuesday. :/ I am SO over winter.
