Well, I am not doing a great job right now with posting daily or getting pictures posted daily. *sigh* Oh well, I have spent a LOT of time with the family and we have gotten quite a bit accomplished and that sometimes is just more important. Peanut's 4-H club participated in County Club Days and she was in a skit called 12 Angry Pigs. Their skit took Top Purple so on March 19th, they will be participating in Regional in Lawrence, KS and we couldn't be happier for her!
The kids and Jeremy spent Sunday afternoon cleaning the living room, while I was in some pretty intense pain. After a short nap, we were bombarded with lots of little feet. Last weekend, our friends took Peanut & Bullfrog overnight for us to have a date night and in repayment, we offered to take their 3 youngest on Sunday for them! It was tons of fun and we had taco night, which always goes over well! Well, then I got to thinking that since we didn't have school today, Peanut might enjoy her friend just staying overnight. So I had our friends just bring her an overnight bag when they picked up their boys. That, I have got to say, was the BEST.DECISION.EVER!!!!
Today was awesome. The boys and the girls had equal numbers and everyone had loads of fun. We had only a couple fights but nothing big and bad. It was a fantastic day and was almost relaxing! Kinda odd thinking that it was relaxing having more kids in the house. LOL.
Peanut got her immigration project done for tomorrow and LOVED gathering the information and putting together the Mayflower, Thanksgiving, and exactly where all her family came from. So much fun. Kinda nice having a big homework project that doesn't require pulling teeth to get it done.
Now everyone is off to sleep and I am just waiting to get my husband up. I just hope everyone else has had a great few days like I have!
You should have told me! I have a great picture of a barn made from the wood of the Mayflower.
ReplyDeleteshe got the information on Thursday I think. It was just 3 questions she had to answer for each family. So we did Paternal parents (2 sets) and Maternal parents (2 sets). Where is your family from (countries). When did you come to the US (rough estimate). Where did you first reside in the US (city and/or state). She LOVED the fact that Grandma Mo's family was here shortly after the Mayflower came and she had heard of Jamestown, VA! I think they are doing this unit all week.
