Day of joy and sorrow

Today has been a rough day to describe. Many great things happened today, but we had to say good-bye to a family member. Jeremy's maternal grandmother passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack last week. I never knew her before her stroke that damaged much of her brain, but Jeremy remembers her fondly. She will be greatly missed and although we are unable to travel to Idaho at this time, our hearts are there.

The things that brought joy in our lives were simple. The crib we ordered came in a week early AND was one of the last as it is now out of stock and was already on clearance. I also got our living room completely re-organize and cleaned up. Love it to bits!

Tonight was McCougar night at McDonald's. Between 4-8pm, our local McDonald's donates 20% of the proceeds to Crestview Elementary's 5th grade class for their field trip later this year. We haven't been able to participate in a long time but we were this time. We couldn't pass up the chance to help the school out and the kids got to meet the Cougar mascot. It was a great way to end a extremely eventful day.
