Lots has happened ... so sorry

Let me sum up since it has been a few days. I have tried to blog daily but I am starting to get so it is getting harder and harder.

Feb 26 - Peanut attended a basketball clinic that was free from the school. She had a great time and isn't too bad at it. She wants to participate in a basketball camp this summer, and we are going to do everything possible to make it happen.

Feb 27 - The kids' 4-H club had their winter activity late in the afternoon at the ice rink. Luckily it was the indoor one cause we had thunder, lightening and HAIL going on by the time we got there. UGH. The kids did have a great time and weren't able to skate the entire 2 hours cause their feet were sore. New skates from Santa were to blame. Afterwards we decided to do Peanut 's dinner since I had a meeting on her birthday. She wanted me to make my homemade bread and slice super thick and serve an open face sandwich. I used cube steak and made homemade mashed potatoes. Total winner dinner. She picked red velvet cake for dessert in which I made homemade butter cream frosting to ice with. I ended the night with making some rice krispie treats with cherry chips to have Peanut take as her treat for her birthday at school.

This week has been AWESOME in the way of weather! The kids have been outside playing most of the week and making good friends with the neighbors. Kind of excited for summer when they will have even more time to play outside and just be kids. Tonight, Peanut is back to sewing after having several weeks off. She finally gets to use her birthday present ... a sewing machine. Talk about an excited little girl!!
