Well, my daily blog has become pretty much a weekly blog. Really struggling to keep this updated with everything else being thrown my way and I am not succeeding. I have already decided that the picture a day just is NOT going to happen. lol Oh well.
This past weekend Jeremy got sustained into the Melchizedek Priesthood on his birthday and will be ordained this Sunday. BIG excitement in our house. Peanut met with the bishop and has gotten the green light to be baptized and boy is she excited! We are hoping to do her baptism and the baby's naming the same weekend for those traveling to attend those events. Jeremy will be able to do it all and that is something that has NEVER happened for us. We hope to start temple prep classes soon and look at being sealed in Winter Quarters temple before the end of summer. :D Like I said, super excitement around our household.
Other HUGE excitement around our house, Peanut has gone three straight weeks with no loss of cubes at school. This meant no thinking times, no green notes, etc. She is sticking to her strategies she has been working on and she has been taking extra Vitamin D as we have been told it helps. I am not sure what really sparked the change and I really do NOT care! I am happy that she is having a great time in school and I'm not hearing from the teacher every week! We are celebrating by taking her out to dinner on Saturday night. She has SO earned this!
The weather here has been AWESOME. Today was the first day of spring break so I kicked the kids outside at 9;30am after they had a breakfast of champions ...homemade waffles, cantaloupe and a fried egg. They didn't come back in until 12:45pm for lunch and then were gone again by 1:15!! They have made some great friends in the complex. There is a couple of Peanut's friends from school living here and then of course our neighbor boys who we have known for quite awhile but the kids weren't quite old enough to really play with. Between them and biking, I doubt I will see my kids much this summer at all. LOL. The kids have also made some pretty good friends with other adults in the apartment complex so I know they are safe. It is pretty nice that our complex is FINALLY starting to become more of a family friendly place. We used to have a LOT of young Hispanic males who worked with construction but it appears more families are moving in. YAY. We are still hoping to buy a house in about 5 years but it is nice to let the kids have a blast. Bullfrog has learned how to ride his bike without training wheels so I might have to pack the bikes up and let them ride the trails at Antioch Park. Just one happy momma here.
I am almost 38 weeks and excited for the day to be finally nearing. We are excited for the doctor to announce the gender and for the baby to be placed on my belly. The kids are hoping we will allow them to stay the night in the hospital once we change to the mommy & me room but we aren't sure if that is the route we will go. We know that it is okay but we think they might sleep better if they are at Jeremy's dad's house and can concentrate at school. It will be a wait and see type decision I think.
Well, tomorrow the kids are running in the Kids' Fun Run after the St. Patrick's Day race and then they have a skate party with their 4-H club. Loads of fun for tomorrow as well. Next week will be packed with zoo trips, park trips, and more roller skating. Of course lots of sun time as well. Gonna have to pull out the sunscreen!!
