Finding the Silver Lining

This heat is HORRID. It makes my kids act up, it makes me not want to do anything, I gotta find stuff in the house for the kids to do ... BLAH!

So, I learned last week that the local Y's act as cooling centers between 1-4pm. While child watch is closed, they are free to the public for cardio equipment, weights, and pool. I mentioned to DH yesterday that I would like to get my butt to the gym if possible this week since it was free, and he made it happen. As soon as he got home, I jetted over to the nearest Y and hopped on an elliptical. 30 minutes later, I hopped off. I was worn out and sweating up a storm (which is funny since I went to the cooling center to heat up!) BUT I felt awesome. I came home and got dinner cooked and am now looking at hopefully starting some laundry. Tomorrow I am hoping to get to the gym again, so I am going to do a crock pot meal for dinner. We are going to a free T-Bones game in the evening, well the kids and I are, with Maize Virtual Preparatory School. It is going to be HOT so I am planning to bring some extra cash to buy water there and then just refill the water at the fountains. I might sneak some water in Monkey's cooler bag for her breast milk. :D

Other things on our agenda this week:
~ Free swim in Mission
~ Sewing Class
~ Helping harvest wheat
~ Zoo Trip
~ T-Ball
~ BBQ
~ Trip to Wichita

Would LOOOOVE for the weather to tone it down a tad between now and Sunday.
