Well last week was a blast! I had my kids home and we had activities that we attended. The weather burned a couple of our plans but that is okay. We met our new pediatrician yesterday afternoon and while we came to the same conclusion ... Monkey burns WAY too many calories a day and we have GOT to figure out how to get more calories in her. HOWEVER, the difference between new ped and old ped ... her immediately discussion was how to get my supply higher, how to get it higher calories, or how to get so I could pump and supplement more breast milk. YAY! I can TOTALLY take that. Either way, Monkey is now 11lbs and we will have a weight check in 2 weeks. She is waiting on the records from the old peds office to get to her so we can really see where we are at and where to go from here.
Today was our annual family birthday party. I stayed up late last night to make brisket and ice cream. Well the ice cream maker wasn't completely frozen yet so I had to scrap that and restart in the AM. The party got off to a late start but turned out great. The best picture EVER taken that day was Monkey sitting on Lady Diane, our in-laws new dog. She is a newfie/lab mix and the sweetest girl ever. Monkey LOOOOOVES dogs and was SO upset that she hadn't had a chance to pet her so we made Lady stand still and Monkey just petted her and petted her. Well, it was mentioned that Monkey could ride her so I sat her on top ... she grabbed the collar and Lady's ear ... well you just CAN'T pass up that photo op! LOL. I am waiting for my SIL to send me the picture.
This evening Peanut went to her BFF's house for a sleep over and Bullfrog played outside with our neighbor boy. I am not sure I am 100% ready for Monday but real life has to hit some time. My kids are more than ready so here we go!
