Birdcage Media: Mission Family Backyard Campout

This weekend (yes I am finally caught up) was our much awaited camp out in a park in Mission, KS. We paid for our spot back at the beginning of May and prayed for better weather than last year. Our prayers were answered! The weather was absolutely beautiful and we needed blankets overnight because it got kind of chilly.

When we got there, Jeremy was still working and Monkey was on his way home from Nebraska so Peanut took Moneky to the playground! At 5pm on the dot, Peanut mad dashed for the pool for free swim time from 5-8pm (only coming out for dinner)! I took Monkey to the pool around 5:30pm after Jeremy arrived and began setting up camp. Bullfrog finally joined us just after 7pm (just missing dinner but Grandma Mo took care of that for us). He quickly went to the pool to spend time with Peanut until 8pm. Then there was s'mores, campfire songs, telescope viewing the International Space Station, and a movie (Furry Vengence). Jeremy was kicked to bed around 9:30pm since he had to work at 2am and we finally got Monkey down around 9:45pm. The older two finally finished the movie and headed to bed around 11:15pm! A restful sleep for them and a fitful sleep for me (note - camping while pregnant & fighting a UTI is not a great idea), was ended at 6:30am with breakfast of donuts & bagels! Jeremy showed around 7:30am to help us breakdown camp and we came home. Peanut and Monkey went back to sleep only a short time later! They both were just overwhelmed with all the fun they had!
