I would love to say that our family has been on a wonderful vacation so there have been no updates .... Epic Fail!
In actuality, I have started working on our apartment. This fall/winter, we are having another baby and we are looking at options outside of a traditional hospital birth. One of those options is an assisted home birth with the help of a midwife and doula. Jeremy and I have tossed around the idea often before and just never looked too far into it. We will be contacting a midwife this week to see what our options are. It took quite awhile to get our heads wrapped around this little one, but I think we have come to a point in our life where our future is starting to become clear.
Which brings me back to working on our apartment. We are preparing to HOPEFULLY move in April to an apartment complex only three miles away. While there is a increase in rent, they cover all of our utilities and offers w/d hook-ups. This would make the cost increase almost moot. We are hoping to go check them out in a couple months so we get a better feel of what all will be moving with us and what will be sold off in yard sales, Craigslist, and barter boards. =) We are starting on the kitchen first and working our way around the house cleaning completely from top to bottom. I am hoping that in April, we will just be able to move and have some minimal cleaning. I currently think our carpets are a lost cause since they are 10 years old and have seen a lot of love from different families. Everything else will be replaced as we need to so that we will get our entire security deposit back and a good recommendation. We have lived in this apartment complex for 8 years now and with a new on on the way, we need to expand a little. At least get someplace where we can feel more like home. We are then hoping to go house hunting in about 3 to 4 years.
In other news, sort of relevant to blogging news, I am a full blown article writer now and loving it. While the pay fluctuates, it is very enjoyable and I am finally into a groove. Between those articles, preparing the house, preparing to have a baby, AND preparing to home school yet again this fall ... I may only update a few times a week. Bare with me as I get everything re-organized in my life and prepare for new adventures. Oh, and I am studying PHP so I can attempt to write my own template for this blog! o.O
