ReplyDeleteWe have a tradition in our Amis compound in Massachusetts, since I was a little person. Everyone, pitches in, no matter how young. I learn the hard way to keep on top of cleaning is not a choice.
Each Sunday after service. We gather and eat. Then, all together clean every inch of the home. Monday is trash day! So, I do the bathroom based on my need to get it done right. Yet, during each day the areas used the most. Kitchen, bath and living room. Must be kept clean after each day's use. That way, it never piles up again. Washing clothes, is a as needed basis. We have our own double laundry rooms.
It works if every one pitches in inside and out.
You are doing an amazing job keeping busy with getting ready. Just let go and make it happen. There is never a perfect way to keep it clean!
