Fall is in FULL swing around here! We have so much on our plates and so many cool plans in place. The kids are excelling in home schooling and really enjoy the freedom they have. Of course, we are really enjoying having them around a lot more. I don't feel like I am missing them grow up anymore. We decided to go back to chore charts since I felt like I was falling further and further behind on the basic house cleaning ... the kids were more than happy to fill in the gaps. My house is finally getting to a better place. The kids just wash a load and then hang it to dry. Saves us a lot of money!
Jeremy and I went to see Bobby Flay talk and then I went to see Anne Burrell. We are looking forward to getting to see Alton Brown in a couple weeks. I am trying to take the hints they have been giving out to my cooking. Today I was able to chop an onion with ease. However, I did have a small bonus, my allergies are acting up so bad ... I couldn't smell a thing! lol.
Speaking of cooking ... I finally got going on Monkey's baby food. I still have pumpkins, yams, apples, peaches, squash, and yogurt to do BUT today I got 18oz of squash, 18oz of carrots, 40oz of pears and 16oz of apples made up and frozen. Monkey is eating about 9oz of solid food a day. Then of course she is still nursing about every 2-3 hours *we have tried to push her until 4 hours and that was a no go* and takes about 12oz in supplemental breast milk a day.
We have been discussing Christmas around our house and I think we almost have everyone planned out. I feel great. We have a budget of $200 for ALL gifts. I think we will stay under it. We are making things for the kids ... except for a Baby Bullet that we are buying for me to make Monkey's baby food easier.
Oh and the BIG announcement I have is that I am going to be doing business spotlights on my blog! I plan on buying from my crafty moms who have businesses that are either starting out or trying to grow. Then I am going to highlight the mom, the business, and include a review on the product. These products may or may not be local to KC. If you have a business that you are trying to get off the ground and would like some extra attention, email me or message me on Facebook.
Now hopefully to get back on track with blogging every day about our going ons! :D
